Having to buy cartridges for your inkjet all the time is a real problem with all of us who have to print a lot of documents every day. Toners need not be replaced that frequently and if one color toner runs out you need to replace that only so it’s still more economical than the inkjet.

I found the software that comes with the printer pretty simple to install and run. The printer is also compatible with Unix on the PC. It might not take you more than ten minutes to start printing after unloading the box. I have not yet encountered any software problems and the printer does not jam, something that frequently takes place with my inkjet. This model in the series has both a USB and parallel port but there is no Ethernet option so if you have a large workgroup using the same printer than there is a little problem with the Lexmark C524 as you cannot connect it to over a network.

The superior quality of color printing, especially high-quality photos, and the economy of the Lexmark C524 makes me really satisfied with my purchase and I recommend this model of laser printer for all those small offices where there is a lot of color printing required.

To print a config page from the LaserJet 3020 or LaserJet 3030:

- Press the Menu/Enter button
- Scroll to the right until "Reports" is displayed
- Press Menu/Enter
- Scroll to the right until "Config. Report" is displayed
- Press Menu/Enter
